Gloria Mae Lucas passed away on November 1, 2024. She was born February 2, 1950, in Anco, KY to Abel Ritchie and Elizabeth Combs Ritchie of Hazard, KY. Gloria married William Aaron Lucas of Whitesburg, KY, on December 24, 1968.

She was a hard working woman. Gloria worked for Courtyard of Marriot for many years and retired in 2009. She loved to play games, work puzzles, word searches, watching her stories and Hallmark movies, great food and spending time with her friends and family. She loved every single holiday and had a shirt for every occasion. Gloria was loved by so many and will be forever missed. Her memory will indeed live on in everyone who knew her.

Gloria is survived by her three daughters, Sheveve Ann Caudill (Scott), Christie Gail Decker (Marc), and Billie Mae Lucas (Mike); grandchildren: Nathan Caudill, Elizabeth Caudill, Austin Lucas, Megan Gunter, Holly Gunter and Lucas Decker; sister, Delaney Wooton and brother, James Ritchie. She also is survived by seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lucas; mother, Elizabeth Combs Ritchie; father Abel Ritchie; brother Aubrey Ritchie, and sister, Melissa Guillory.

Visitation for Mrs. Lucas will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Berryhill Funeral Home from 12:00 to 2:00 pm.  A graveside service will be held at Charity Cemetery in Hazel Green, Alabama at 2:30 pm with Rev. Gene Wooton officiating.
