Jacob Shane McElyea, 30, of New Market, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.

Jacob is survived by his mother, Shannon Peoples (Gene Hearld); siblings, Daylon McElyea and Briana Hearld; and cousin, Fallon Booth.

He is preceded by his grandmother, Shirley Loggins, and his grandfather, Crawford McElyea.

Jacob's family will be receiving friends on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Berryhill Funeral Home from 3:00 to 4:00 pm with a memorial service immediately following in the chapel at 4:00 pm.
