Patrick Lynn Helton, 47 years old, departed this earth and met his Heavenly Father in the early morning hours of February 26, 2025.

He was born March 11, 1977, in Huntsville, Alabama. He attended Heritage Christian and Madison County High School – class of 1995. Pat was a very joyful and loving man. He loved Christmas. Every window in the house displayed a tree and the front yard looked like something out of Christmas Vacation. He loved Alabama Crimson Tide sports, especially football because he started his Christmas decorating with football trees. He loved making people laugh. Whether it was the dad jokes he shared with his students or the jokes he shared with his congregation, a smile or chuckle encouraged him to keep going and silence challenged him to come up with something funnier. It was hard not to be happy with Pat. Pat loved his friends. He never went anywhere where he didn't stop to speak to someone. Most of all, he loved his family and teaching/sharing the love of God. God's Word was his passion and his family was his heart. He loved shepherding and leading at Pleasant Springs Baptist Church. He was a blessing to all who knew him and will be dearly missed.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, James (Bud) and Kay Helton; and his grandmother, Jewell Stewart.

Pat is survived by his wife, Sherry; his daughters, Alexis Bowen (Nicholas) and Kaylee; his sister, Pam Helton; his half-sisters, Brenda Rich (Danny) and Cathy Gipson; Cousin, Sondra Shelton; Nieces, Becky Whitaker (Preston), Stacy Hagood (Stephen), and Brittany Gipson; Nephew, Dusty Gipson (Lauren); and numerous other family members.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th, from 2:00-3:00 P.M. at Berryhill Funeral Home, with a service immediately following at 3:00 P.M. Bro. Don Paris will be officiating
