Adam Joshua Brown, 37, of Huntsville, Alabama, has officially exited the group chat. Born July 15, 1987, in Creve Coeur, Missouri, Adam lived life with a stubborn streak, a sharp wit, and the kind of sarcasm that could both charm and confuse you in equal measure.

He is survived by a large and colorful cast of characters: his large, loving, and highly opinionated family comprised mostly of type A personalities, who tolerated his antics for decades, some who were both co-conspirators and unwitting victims of his jokes, and all will miss his playful teasing and low-key wisdom.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Robbin Brown, who surely greeted him with an eyebrow raise and a hug; and grandparents Ray Bersticker, Helen Brown, and Willie H. Brown, all of whom probably asked him, "What are you doing here so early?"

Adam while always happy to be the center of attention, there will be no formal services due to the nature and circumstances of his unexpected passing – which made him the center of attention these last many days. He's being cremated, because being stuck in one place forever sounds boring, and let's be honest, Adam didn't like being stuck in one place. Adam was the kind of guy who could make you laugh in the middle of a crisis, remember the oddest things at the strangest times, and was always happy to help you move your couch. He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.
