Obituary

Albert F. Perkins, 52, died January 4th, 2019 at Crestwood Hospital surrounded by his family. He is the son of Mary K Perkins and the late William A. Perkins.

He is survived by his mother, Mary K. Perkins; sisters, Suzanne Crocker (Larry), and Jennifer Perkins (Dan); half-brother, Steven (Patricia); half- sister, Lisa (Rick); nieces, Grace, Faith, Mary Claire, and Ava Katherine; nephews, William, Charlie, Henry and numerous others.

Albert was born in Heidelberg, Germany, lived in Louisiana, North Carolina, and Munich before moving to Huntsville, AL with his family. He graduated from Virgil Grissom High School in 1984 and also attended the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Albert was a firefighter for the City of Huntsville for 24 years. Prior to that, he lived and worked in Nashville, TN.

Albert's love of travel and history took him around the globe. He loved the beaches, to snorkel, fish, and scuba dive. He also loved to hike in the mountains, Canadian Rockies, and the Alaskan terrain. He enjoyed being with his friends and family.

Visitation will be on Monday, January 7th at 10 am followed by the funeral at 11 am all at Berryhill Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Shriner's Hospitals.
