Alton Eugene Moore of Meridianville, AL, passed Tuesday, March 18, 2025, after a short illness.

Alton was born on October 14th, 1934 in Madison County, AL.  He is survived by his daughter Terri (Larry), grandchildren Shannon (Chris) and Lauren (Josh), and nine great-grandchildren.  Alton was preceded in death by his parents Morgan and Damey Lou Moore and seven siblings: Pauline Moore, Sue Willie Moore, Evie Moore, Nellie Moore, Harvey Moore, Robert Moore and Troy Moore.

Alton was a loving husband to Barbara and the "Best Daddy" to his daughter Terri.  It seemed he stayed in trouble for bending to the wants of his little girl "Turk" that he just couldn't say no to.  What brought him most joy was time with his grandchildren and breakfast with "the guys" at a local diner.  He also enjoyed working and tinkering on his cars, including the first new truck he ever bought, a 1970 Ford, and a classic 1969 Corvette he bought later in life.

Affectionately known as "Altoony", he worked as a laborer laying ceramic tile in homes, businesses and restaurants in Georgia and Alabama.  Alton was the "go-to" guy for the small jobs that others just didn't have time for.  Alton was non-judgmental and all that knew him admired his character and affectionate laughter.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24th, from 9:30-11:00 AM, followed by an 11:00 AM funeral service at Berryhill Funeral Home. Mr. Moore will be laid to rest at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
