Obituary

Amy Lynn Bice was born on June 6, 1969, to Jim and Marian Williams in Rome, Georgia. She peacefully passed on to be with the Lord on October 16, 2025, surrounded by the people she loved after a hard-fought battle with bile duct cancer.

The 56 years Amy had on earth she lived to the fullest. She was a strong-willed, self-sacrificing daughter and sister. She was a proud mother of two, always finding time to express her love and support. She was a wonderful wife to Greg; they were a team and understood the meaning of a Biblical marriage. She was an intentional and loyal friend. She cared about the quality of her friendships more than the quantity and would go above and beyond for her friends to be an encouragement. She loved everyone in her life well. When she loved someone, she loved them hard, and she made that known to you.

Amy was an incredible teacher and known by all in her school. Her passion for teaching runs in the family as her mother is a retired teacher, and her brother a principal. She homeschooled her kids through their elementary and middle school years. Later in her career, she earned her Master's Degree in education, which was a significant accomplishment for her. She then went on to become a certified dyslexia instructor; something she had longed to achieve. Amy brought light and laughter to any classroom she was in. She valued each and every one of her students and taught with grace and patience.

Outside of work, Amy's hobbies and interests varied from wanting to try new food places full of flavor, to spontaneous drives and adventurous hikes to see waterfalls; she did it all. She adored being outside in nature and loved animals. The mountains in the fall season were her favorite because of the peace and joy she experienced being in God's creation.

Throughout all her life, relationships, time in schools, marriage, highs and lows, one thing remained evident and that was her love for Christ our King. The love she showed to others was an outpouring of the love of Jesus. Her faith was the pillar of the life she lived. She remained constant and steadfast, always holding onto the hope that we as Christians have. And that is the legacy she leaves behind. One of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Amy is preceded in death by her father, Jim Williams. She is survived by her husband Greg Bice, mother Marian Williams, brother John Stiles-Williams (Jenn), daughter Micah Rich, and son Elijah Rich.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you would consider donating to the Dyslexia Program at Lindsay Lane Christian Academy at lindsaylanechristianacademy.org under the support drop down.
