Andrew "Andy" Stephens, 70, died Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at his home in Madison, AL. He was born August 28, 1952, in Montgomery, AL, to Jack and Bobbie Stephens. After graduating from Sparkman High School, he served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam era and was stationed in Okinawa before being honorably discharged in 1974.

Andy is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Upton; granddaughter, Maggie Upton; sister, Linda Lockhart; and brother-in-law, Bill Lockhart. He leaves behind two nieces, Deborah (Miles) Neiberlein and Judy (Morgan) Morris, a host of great-nephews, and many friends.

He enjoyed playing his guitar, listening to music, grilling, and watching Alabama football. He was a certified welder and often used these skills to help his family and loved ones. His favorite pastime was visiting with his granddaughter and playing with his dog, Blu.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 6, from 10:30AM-12:30PM at Berryhill Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 1:00PM located at Faith Memorial Park.
