IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anita Diane
Bradford
September 19, 1955 – February 16, 2026
Anita Diane Bradford (Ward), born September 19, 1955, in Huntsville, passed away on February 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She grew up in Maysville, where she built the strong roots of faith, family, and resilience that carried her throughout her life.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Ward and Aline Ledbetter Ward; her beloved son, Jamie Sharp; four brothers; and one sister. Though she endured great loss in her lifetime, she remained a woman of strength, devotion, and deep love for her family.
They met in 1982, July 25, 1987 she married the love of her life, John Anthony Bradford and they never spent a day a part. Together they built a life filled with laughter, adventure, and cherished traditions. They spent their days enjoying time on the river, weekends at the racetrack, and most of all, doting on their grandchildren. Diane and John shared a special love for the beach — a place that will forever hold treasured memories for their family and remain close to their hearts for years to come.
Diane leaves behind four children, fourteen grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren, each of whom she loved fiercely and unconditionally. Her greatest joy in life was being "Mama" and "Grandma." Her legacy lives on in the family she nurtured, the traditions she created, and the love she poured into every generation.
She will be remembered for her strength, her devotion to her husband, her pride in her children, and the way her face lit up around her grandchildren. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she gave so freely will continue to guide and comfort those who knew her.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 20th, beginning at 2:00 PM at Hayden Cemetery in New Hope, AL. Rev. Wayne Kent will be officiating.
Berryhill Funeral Home assisted the family.
