Betty Jean Sanders, 87, of Gurley, passed away on Friday, December 05, 2025.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Donald Sanders; daughter, Janet Lynn Nelson (David); grandchildren, Zachary Nelson (Nicole) and Eric Nelson (Jordan); and one great-grandchild, Teddy Nelson.

She is preceded in death by her son, Mike Brown; parents, Grover and Agnes Nimmo; and brother, Jack Nimmo.

Betty previously worked at Colonial Bank and retired from Redstone Federal Credit Union. She had a love for animals and was involved with rescues and adoptions. She enjoyed jewelry and was know to give her jewelry to those who admired it.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 9th, from 12:00-2:00 PM at Berryhill Funeral Home, with a funeral service immediately following. Burial will take place at Nelson Chapel Cemetery in Gurley.
