Beverly Ann Youngken, 81, of Madison, Alabama, passed away on January 25, 2022 with family by her side.

Born to Walter and Lillian Peechatka on August 17, 1940 in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, Beverly was the youngest of two children. She was raised in Scotrun, PA and upon graduation from Pocono Mountain High School, she was employed by AAA of North Penn, Camelback Ski Resort, and Smuggler's Cove, to name a few. Beverly was also a standing member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Scotrun, PA.

After relocating to Madison, AL in 1986, Beverly worked for the Huntsville-Madison County Convention and Visitor's Bureau as a Convention Sales Manager until her retirement in 2007. She continued to serve the CVB community in multiple capacities as her health allowed.

Beverly lived life to the fullest.  She was an avid traveler, loved to dance, and enjoyed gardening. She was an active member of the community and always enjoyed being around people.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter C. Peechatka and Lillian M. Peechatka (Post), and brother Walter N. Peechatka.

Beverly is survived by her children, Bode Youngken (Monica), Brandi Tomanio (John), Britney Youngken (Jim), six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, Sister-in-Law Bonnie Peechatka, and two nephews.

The family will receive friends at Berryhill Funeral Home on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 4-6pm. She will be laid to rest in Swiftwater, PA; date and time to be determined.

In lieu of flowers and in memory of Beverly, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of North Alabama or The Alzheimer's Association.
