Bharat Patel, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026. He was born on June 28, 1953, in Mombasa, Kenya, the youngest of eight children—six sisters and one brother.

In his early years, Bharat traveled to India, where he attended school in Karamsad before later migrating to England. In 1974, he married the love of his life, Purnima Patel.

In 1989, Bharat and his family moved to the United States. He owned and operated a convenience store, later spent 15 years working as a truck driver, and then worked at a pharmaceutical factory until retirement.

He is survived by his loving wife, Purnima Patel; his son, Nimesh Patel, and daughter-in-law, Toral Patel; his grandson, Shrey Patel; his daughter, Sheenal Patel Garrett, and son-in-law, Tyler Garrett; and his granddaughter, Arya Garrett. He is also survived by his brother, Yashwantbhai Patel, and six sisters.

He was preceded in death by his father, Punjabhai Patel, and his mother, Kamalaben Patel.

Bharat’s legacy of hard work, love, and dedication to family will live on in all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Services for Mr. Patel will be held on Saturday, April 11th, 2026, at Berryhill Funeral Home beginning at 10:00 am.
