Brandon Michael Smith, 42, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and creativity.

Brandon was a devoted husband to his best friend, Shannon Conklin Smith, with whom he shared a love story that began when they met at Domino's at just 16 years old. Their bond was unbreakable, built on friendship, humor, and an enduring love that only grew stronger over the years. He was also a dedicated father to their miracle son, Nathan MacLean Smith, the light of his life and his greatest source of pride.

His love for technology and video games shaped his career path, leading him to study at Virginia Tech and later build a career as a 3D graphics designer. He spent years working with Baron Weather, creating visuals that appeared on national television—often unseen but undeniably impactful. A true sci-fi and Star Wars fan, Brandon found joy in storytelling, imagination, and all things futuristic.

Brandon's humor was unmatched, his ability to make others laugh a gift that brightened even the darkest days. He was known for his quick wit, kindness, and the way he made every person he met feel special.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shannon; their son, Nathan; and their cherished fur babies—Sansa, Bella, Wall-E, and Eva—who, along with Byron and Sophie before them, were a testament to his and Shannon's deep love for dogs. He also leaves behind his siblings, Lisa Roney, Nicki Smith, Brandi Smith, Jonathan Smith, and Hillary Hernandez, along with many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, all of whom adored him.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th, from 5-7:00 PM at Berryhill Funeral Home. Brandon wished for no tears, but a celebration of life. The family invites friends and family to honor his wishes following the visitation at Buffalo Wild Wings (7042 University Dr NW, Huntsville, AL 35806) beginning at 7:30 PM.
