Brayden Christopher Rogers, 19, of New Market, AL, was tragically killed on August 19, 2026 in Hampton, TN.  He was born on April 10, 2007.

Brayden leaves behind a loving family, who will honor and cherish his memory everyday.  His dad, Jon Rogers; mom and stepdad, Abby and Michael Johnson; little sister, Leah; grandparents, Jean and Randy Duck, Roger and Robin Miller and Donnie Rogers; uncles, Jamey (Gina) Miller and Tracy Rogers; cousins, Madison and Wes Wherley, and Morgan Miller.  He also left behind his beloved dog Lily Belle, whom he loved so dearly.  He leaves behind friends, teammates, and countless others who were blessed to see his light shine.

Brayden graduated from Buckhorn High School and Madison County Virtual Academy.  He excelled in his AP classes and graduated with Honors.  He was a proud member of the Buckhorn Mountain Bike Team.  He trained hard and gave his all in every race.  He had raced in Unbound, Big Sugar, Iron Maiden, Valley of Tears, many century's and countless other races.  Riding his bike is more than a sport to him, it was a passion and a way of life.  He loved to travel and loved an adventure.  He had been to Disney and Universal more times than we can count.

Brayden was beginning his sophomore year at Milligan University in TN, where he was pursuing a degree in Nursing.  His goal was to become a Travel Nurse Anesthetist.  He wanted to care for others and ride his bike around the world.  

Brayden is a member at Cornerstone Church, where he was surrounded by a loving church family.  His faith, witness, and testimony shined through him.  Every race and ride in high school he wore a piece of dirt-covered tape on his helmet that read Romans 10:9, so that everyone would know the path to salvation.  Brayden's smile is infectious and his heart is pure. His presence made this world a better place.  

No words can adequately describe the pain of losing Brayden.  He was a beautiful soul and a beautiful person inside and out.  There is now an emptiness in our lives, that will never be filled.  Yet, in the midst of grief, we find peace in knowing that Brayden is with the Lord.  His life was far too short, but the impact he made and will continue to make will last a lifetime.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 1st from 3:00 - 4:00 PM at Church of the Highlands, 3301 Whitesburg Dr., Huntsville, AL  35801.  A Celebration of Life will follow at 4:00.
