On Monday, July 28, 2025, Brian Thomas "the Bru" Federico, passed away at the age of 59. The Bru shared his life with his loving partner, Mazie M. Myers, and their faithful Yorkipoo, Max. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Frank Federico, and his mother, Jeannette Marie Hymel Federico. He is survived by four siblings, Michael D. Federico, Steven B. Federico, Mark R. Federico (Kathryn), and Holly A. Federico Huye (Jay).

The Bru,a proud American patriot, was a Gulf War Veteran who served in the U.S. Navy. He continued his civilian service in the U.S. Coast Guard as a reservist and retired from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, dedicating his life to service and country.

The Bru was an author and poet, chef, musician, traveler, and friend to all. He enjoyed being the life of the party and making others feel welcome. He touched many lives and his presence will be deeply missed.

Burial at sea with Military Honors will be held at a later date for family and friends in New Orleans, LA.
