Carl Smith Harris, Jr., 95, of Huntsville, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2024.

Mr. Harris was born and raised in Miami and graduated from the University of Miami.  He was in the US Air Force for three years and served during the Korean War as a fighter pilot. Mr. Harris retired as a mechanical engineer from the US Army after 30 years.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Betty Jo Harris; children, Steven Harris (Mary Jo) and Dean Harris; and grandchild, Alexandria "Lexi" Harris.

Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Bonnie Harris and his siblings.

The family will receive friends Sunday, August 11th from 1:00 - 2:30 PM at Berryhill Funeral Home.
