Carolyn Grider, was born January 9, 1937, in Coffee Springs, Alabama, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Hudson; mother, Louise Hudson; brothers, Bill and Jack Hudson; and her beloved son, Robert Daniel (Danny) Grider.

Carolyn grew up in Coffee Springs, where she graduated high school as class president. After graduation, she made her way to Huntsville, Alabama, where she met the love of her life, Roger Grider. Together, they built a beautiful life and home in Old Town, where they raised their sons and shared 65 wonderful years of marriage.

Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose beautiful smile could light up a room. She loved deeply and fiercely, always putting her family first. Her strength, kindness, and infectious laughter made every gathering brighter.

She is survived by her loving husband, Roger Grider; sons Roger (Pam) and Ronald (Lisa); grandchildren and their spouses: Kimberly Wilkinson, Jamie Cochran, Coleman Grider, Hunter Grider, and Danni Jo Grider; and many great-grandchildren who adored their "Gran".

Carolyn was a faithful member of Jackson Way Baptist Church. She was a devoted follower of Jesus and lived her life with grace, faith, and gratitude. She found great joy in tending to her flowers, where her nurturing touch brought beauty to everything she grew—just as it did to every life she touched.

Carolyn will be remembered for her amazing personality, her radiant smile, and her unwavering love for her family. Her legacy of love, laughter, and faith will live on in all who knew her.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 PM at Berryhill Funeral Home on Sunday, October 12th, with a memorial service immediately following.
