Cecile Jeanne
Thompson
April 7, 1941 – May 21, 2026
Cecile “Cil” Marie Jeanne Paré Thompson, 85, was born in Cedar Falls, RI on April 7, 1941, and passed away peacefully in Huntsville on May 21, 2026.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Charles Edward Thompson; her parents, Raoul and Denise Paré; her brothers, Clem Paré and Claude and his wife, Janis Paré.
Cil is survived by her daughter, Renee Lynn Thompson; her son, Anthony Craig Thompson and his wife Katie; her grandchildren, Alexandra Renee Thompson and Benjamin Charles Thompson; her sister-in-law, Anita Paré; her niece, Suzanne Paré; and her nephews, Michael Paré, Marc Paré, and John Paré, and her great-nephew and great-nieces.
Cil loved the Lord with all of her heart, mind, body, and soul. Her faith shaped the way she lived, loved, served, and cared for others. She was a devoted prayer warrior whose prayers, encouragement, and steadfast faith impacted countless people throughout her life. She lived a life marked by sacrifice, generosity, laughter, and unwavering devotion to God and His Son, Jesus Christ.
She was a throwback to a simpler time. During her years raising a military family alongside Marine Charles Edward Thompson, Cil dedicated herself fully to her family and home. She was the kind of homemaker who never let anyone go without. Everything had its place, every detail mattered, and every person who entered her life knew they were cared for.
Cil believed in sacrificing in the present to prepare for the future. She believed in laughing when something was funny, loving people deeply while you had the chance, and living faithfully until the Lord called you home. Her life reflected quiet strength, discipline, compassion, and enduring faith.
To know Cil was to experience steady love, practical wisdom, honest laughter, and faithful encouragement. Her family remembers a woman whose life consistently pointed toward Christ through both her words and her actions.
Her favorite Scripture, “Be still and know that I am God,” reflected the peace and trust that anchored her life.
