Charles Allen "Cap" Pilliteri, 84, of Ardmore, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 27, 2025. Born in Beckley, West Virginia, on February 11, 1941, Cap was the cherished son of the late Sam and Gay Pilliteri and the beloved brother of the late James Joseph Pilliteri.

A proud Beckley native, Cap graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1959. Just two days after graduation, he answered the call to serve and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, beginning a life marked by dedication, integrity, and patriotism.

After completing his military service, Cap continued his pursuit of excellence through education, earning a degree in Sociology from the University of Charleston (formerly Morris Harvey College) in 1970. His passion for learning and commitment to serving others were constants throughout his life.

Cap will be remembered for his unwavering love of country, his tireless work ethic, and the strength of character that defined him. Above all, he was a devoted family man. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Madrena Pilliteri; his daughter, Laura Henderson (Keith); two grandchildren, Lakelyn and Dawsyn Wilson; and a host of cherished bonus grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His legacy of love, strength, and integrity lives on in each of them.

A service to celebrate Cap's life will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Berryhill Funeral Home in Huntsville, Alabama. Visitation will take place from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Interment with military burial honors will follow at Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore, Alabama.
