Obituary

Charlotte Jean Rhodes, 82, of Meridianville, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2026.

A native of Alabama, Charlotte worked for Chrysler Corporation until her retirement. Retirement, however, did not mean slowing down. Charlotte turned her talent and love for sewing into her own seamstress business, where she was able to share her gifts with countless people throughout the community.

Charlotte especially loved sewing for local schools and devoted many hours to helping band, dance, and cheerleading programs. Through her work, she touched the lives of many students and families over the years. She took great pride in what she created and in being able to use her talents to help others.

Above all, Charlotte treasured time spent with her friends and family. The relationships she built, the people she helped, and the memories she created with those she loved will remain an important part of her legacy.

Charlotte is survived by her husband, Mike Rhodes; her stepchildren, Sydney Haley and Meredith McComb; and her grandchildren, Nick Taylor, Lexi Bannister, and Liam.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her two sons Jeff Taylor, and Jerry Taylor.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Berryhill Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel, with Steve Grarratano officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery.

"Love Always Remembers

May tender memories soften your grief,

May fond recollection bring you relief,

And may you find comfort and peace in the thought

Of the joy that knowing your loved one brought.

For time and space can never divide

Or keep your loved one from your side.

When memory paints in colors true

The happy hours that belonged to you."
