Obituary

It is with deep sorrow and immense love that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and servant of Christ, who went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 3, 2025. She was a radiant example of love, grace, and faith, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Charlotte was born on September 18th, 1968 and dedicated her life to her family, her faith, and her community. As a devoted wife, she stood by her husband, Mike, with unwavering love and support. As a mother, she nurtured her child, Jennifer, guiding her with wisdom, compassion, and an unshakeable belief in the goodness of God's plan for their lives. Her heart overflowed with love, and her hands were always ready to serve.

A faithful servant of Christ, Charlotte exemplified the teachings of Jesus in all aspects of her life. Whether through acts of kindness, words of encouragement, or quiet prayers, she demonstrated the love of God in every interaction. She served her church and community with joy, never seeking recognition but always giving from a place of deep humility.

She was an avid lover of the outdoors and found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether casting a line on the lake with a fishing pole in hand or hunting for treasures at every yard sale she could find, she embraced each day with enthusiasm and a sense of adventure. She had a deep love for travel, but only by car, and often said with a smile," You'll never catch me flying unless Jesus comes to take me home." Though Charlotte refused to fly on an airplane during her time on earth, she has now taken flight in the arms of her Savior, soaring high in the eternal skies of Heaven. While she will no longer walk among us, we take comfort knowing she is now surrounded by the glory of God, free from pain and full of peace. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were touched by her love and faith. We will remember her kindness, her laughter, and her steadfast devotion to Christ. Charlotte's life was a testament to the power of love, service, and faith, and her memory will continue to inspire us to live with the same grace and courage.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Mike Winsett; her daughter, Jennifer Prewitt, and son-in-law, Damion Prewitt; as well as her nieces, Regan and Megan Payton. She is survived by her brother, Carl Dunson, and his partner, Ms. Abigail, along with his daughters, Michelle Dunson (Nick Sanders) and Kimberly Flynn (Mike). Additionally, she leaves behind her sister, Carol Pinkard, and her son, Joel Pinkard; her sister, Susan Amerson; and a large circle of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Joyce Taylor; her sister, Sandra Dunson; and two nieces, Tonya and Christy Amerson.

A celebration of Charlotte's life will be held at Hazel Green
