Christopher Heath Kent, 47, of Gurley, born February 19, 1974 reunited with our LORD and Savior on August 2, 2021.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years Brandy Kent; and two sons; Hudson and Jackson Kent; father; Wayne Kent (Sherry); mother; Brenda Kent; siblings; Shawn Kent (Lynda), Tracy Quillin (Jimbo), Kasey Kent (Donna), Cassandra Creel (Crandon), Karitsa Barcus (Michael), and Kim  Miller (Jimmy); in-laws Mac and Beverly Ray; Larry Isbell; sister-in-law; Mandy Saint (Davey); a host of nieces and nephews; and many close friends he considered family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Bennie and Jannie Jenkins, Fred and Marjory Kent, and Carley Thomas.

To know Heath was to LOVE him and be LOVED by him! Heath never met a stranger, he made friends everywhere he went. Heath loved everyone, greeting people with a huge smile and a hug. He lived life to the fullest and had a heart of GOLD. He cherished his wife and boys more than anything. He was a bright light, extending a helping hand to any who needed it in his community. He enjoyed being involved in many sports and activities with his boys, and coached many other children over the years. He was a devoted fan of Alabama football and the Huntsville Havoc. He loved cooking Barbecue and took great pleasure in preparing it for as many people as possible. Heath relished spending time in the great outdoors and was an avid hunter. As a skilled equipment operator with Madison County District 3, Heath was dedicated to his job and had great affection for his co-workers. In terms of talent, Heath's was limitless, he could do just about anything he set his mind to.

GOD called Heath home too soon, but we know Heath was greeted with love by his grandparents who passed before him. We know he has been completely healed and is rejoicing with the LORD. Heath would want all that knew him to LOVE everyone, be a little kinder, smile a little bigger, and hug a little harder!

Visitation will be held on Thursday August 5 ^th from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Berryhill Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Friday August 6 ^th at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel with Devins Jackson, Sam Gulley, and Wayne Kent officiating the service. Burial will follow in Pleas Mont Cemetery in Gurley, Alabama.

Pallbearers for Mr. Kent will be Shawn Kent, Kasey Kent, Candon Creel, Jimbo Quillin, Michael Barcus, and Davey Saint.
