Christopher "Chris" Tierney passed away in his sleep on December 19, 2025. He was born on October 9, 1959 in Manchester, NH to William Gerald Tierney and Barbara Ann (Gibbons) Tierney. Chris graduated from Strongsville (Ohio) High School and Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.

Chris worked in the electronics field which required many moves across the United States and travel around the world. Upon retirement he worked part time at Publix to keep busy.

Chris loved being on the water, whether scuba diving, piloting his own boat with his wife and dog by his side, river cruising in Europe or cruising across the Atlantic.

Chris was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jeane Marie (Harrison) Tierney, siblings: Patricia (Robert) Kretowicz of Medina, OH; James (Carol) Tierney of Durham, NC; Anne Marie (Nez) Macys of Medina, OH; John Tierney of Willimantic, CT; Paul (Marybeth) Tierney of Suwanee, GA; Kathleen Alonso of Punta Gorda, FL; and many nieces and nephews.

A loving husband, loyal friend, and brother; Chris will be greatly missed.
