Curtis Oneal Duncan, age 92, of Harvest, Alabama, passed away on August 13, 2026. Born on September 12, 1933, in Highland Home, Alabama, to Moses and Callie Duncan. Curtis lived a full and beautiful life marked by love, faith, and an unwavering dedication to the people around him.

Curtis was a man of many talents and boundless energy. He loved sports and stayed active throughout his life, playing basketball, tennis, and competing on a senior softball team. His competitive spirit carried him to the Senior Olympics, where he earned Gold Medals in basketball, track and field events, and, perhaps most charmingly, checkers. He was also a gifted musician who played the fiddle, the guitar, the banjo, the mandolin, the harmonica, and the piano. His passion for poetry ran deep; he memorized over 50 poems and delighted in reciting them to family and friends. He penned many poems and songs of his own, including songs that were sung at his children's weddings. And he never tired of telling a good corny joke, always with a twinkle in his eye.

Curtis is survived by the love of his life, Joyce, and together they shared an extraordinary 71 years of marriage. He was a loving father to his son, Brent (Sharon); his three daughters, Donna Duncan, Kathy (Stephen) Parker, and Sonja (Kevin) Pierce; 6 grandchildren, Chrystalle aka Shonnie, Brittany, Zachary, Dane, Wesly, and Mallery; and 7 great-grandchildren.
