Cynthia Gayle Massey Mann entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on May 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Nothing brought Cynthia greater joy than being “Mimi” to her seven cherished grandchildren: Tristan, Jason, Samson, Karsten, Jaynie, Lincoln, and James. She made each grandchild feel uniquely loved, intentionally creating special traditions, outings, and moments that reflected their individual personalities. Cynthia was always there when they needed her most, her love and influence will continue to live on through each of them.

Born on October 1958 in Albertville, AL, Cynthia graduated in 1977 from S.R. Butler High School before making homes in Tulsa, OK, Notasulga, Bayou La Batre, Auburn, and Huntsville, Alabama. No matter where life took her, she carried with her a warm smile, a caring spirit, and a genuine interest in the people around her.

Outside of church and family, Cynthia enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. She was a devoted Auburn Tigers fan who rarely missed cheering on her team. She loved settling in with a good scary movie, and she was an avid reader whose love of books made her a familiar and well-loved face at her local library branch. She had a lifelong curiosity and found joy in stories, learning, and sharing her favorite books with others.

Though her family grieves her absence, they rejoice in the assurance that Cynthia is now whole in the presence of her Savior, hearing the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

A Celebration of Life is planned for Cynthia on Sunday, August 9th at Southwood Presbyterian Church in Huntsville, AL. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 PM with a 2:00 PM service to follow.
