Obituary

Cynthia Leonard Miller, lovingly known as Cindy, passed peacefully on September 28, 2026, in Huntsville, Alabama, at the age of 67. Born on December 9, 1958, in Huntsville, Cindy's life was a beautiful expression of creativity, devotion to friends and family, and service to her community.

Cindy was the beloved daughter of Dr. William Leonard and Shirley Leonard.

From an early age, Cindy discovered her passion for ballet and dance. Dance became one of the great joys of her life, allowing her to inspire and connect with countless people throughout the Huntsville community. Whether performing on stage, teaching aspiring dancers, or choreographing many local musicals, she shared her artistry with grace, dedication, and a generous spirit. Her love for the performing arts was a reflection of the joy and beauty she saw in the world around her.

In addition to her artistic contributions, Cindy enjoyed a successful civilian career at Redstone Arsenal, where she served with professionalism and dedication until her retirement in 2019. She took pride in her work and built lasting friendships throughout her career.

Above all, Cindy treasured her family. She was a loving mother to Len Causey and Charelle Hudgins, and a caring mother-in-law to Joshua Hudgins. Her greatest joy came from being "Mimi" to her beloved grandchildren: Abigail Causey, Ruby Hudgins, Charlotte Causey, Justin Hudgins, and Willa Hudgins. She celebrated their accomplishments, encouraged their dreams and imagination, and filled their lives with unconditional love and laughter.

Though her earthly journey has come to an end, those who loved Cindy take comfort in knowing that the love she shared remains forever woven into their hearts. Her spirit lives on in every dance, every song, and every cherished memory.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Cindy's life on Friday, October 2, 2026 at Berryhill Funeral Home in Huntsville, AL. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life service from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville, AL.

As we remember Cindy, we honor a life well lived, a heart well loved, and a spirit that will never be forgotten.
