David Nelson Wimberly, 80, of Owens Crossroads, passed away November 1, 2024.

Mr. Wimberly retired from the aerospace industry.  He had a great impact on young people while he was coaching.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Helen Wimberly; children: Tracy (Angie) and Shannon (Marie); five grandchildren: Paige, Justin, Trey, Blake, and Caleb Wimberly; three great-grandchildren: Rowan, Aspen, and Millie Kate; siblings: Terry Wimberly and Debbie Hyatt (Tony); and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Wimberly was preceded in death by his parents, Colonel Wood Wimberly and Marie Duke Wimberly; and sister, Billie Vandiver.

The family will receive friends Saturday, November 9th from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Berryhill Funeral Home, followed by service at 12:00.
