Diane Carol Lawson Moore, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend, peacefully passed from this life on August 25, 2026, at the age of 63. She was born on August 5, 1963, to Harvel Tice and Sylvia “Hosielene” Lawson. The family was faithful members of the West Huntsville Church of Christ. This is where Diane obeyed the gospel and cultivated her faith in Jesus – which became the foundation of her life. Together with her sister Debbie Steelman and brother Larry Lawson, the three siblings forged a unique closeness early in their lives and have remained a constant support and source of love for one another.

Diane graduated from Madison Academy in 1981. Many of her classmates became lifelong friends, and it was there that she met her devoted husband, Eric. Following high school, Diane attended Lipscomb University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in office administration. Fresh out of college, she and Eric married on December 7, 1985. Diane was deeply loved by Eric’s family. Her bond with them and their bond with her can only be described not as an in-law, but as an actual daughter or sister. She and Eric celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary at her favorite place on earth – the white-sand beaches of Florida. After years of hoping and praying for a child, the happy couple was overjoyed to welcome their daughter, Meredith Mae Moore, in March of 1996. Diane was a devoted mother and in recent years, a loving grandmother to Kye and Lily. She treasured her time with her grandchildren. Each moment brought her immense joy and happiness.

Diane and Eric also shared their professional life, opening and operating Nature’s Way Chiropractic together since 2007. In 2021, the Moores were welcomed into a new church family – the Lincoln Church of Christ. Those who knew Diane will always remember her beautiful smile, gentle and quiet spirit, and her constant willingness to help others. She was selfless, content, and never wanted to be a burden. For more than 17 years, Diane quietly faced cancer with a strength that was characteristic of her. She rarely spoke of her own struggles, choosing instead to focus on others, remain positive, and trust in God. Her faith was the guiding force of her life. Diane never lost sight of the ultimate hope she held so dear – a hope that has now become her eternal home.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Harvel Tice and Sylvia “Hosielene” Lawson. She is survived by her husband, Eric Moore; daughter, Meredith Moore Buzinski (Dominick); grandchildren, Kye and Lily; siblings, Larry Lawson (Linda) and Debbie Steelman (Randy); parents-in-law, Arlen and Faye Moore; Sisters/Brothers-in-law, Lisa and Carey Waddell, Anthony and Sandy Moore, Alison and Alex Efimenko; 16 nieces and nephews and 22 great nieces and nephews.

All who knew her will forever be blessed. She will be deeply missed. The Funeral will be held at the Berryhill Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. Visitation is from 9:00–11:00 a.m., immediately followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.  A private graveside service will follow at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
