It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Donna, 81.She departed from this world on November 6, 2023, after a battle with cancer, leaving a void that can never be filled.

Donna was a remarkable soul who touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was born on September 25,1942 and brought warmth, laughter, and kindness into the lives of those around her.

A friend like no other, Donna had an infectious smile and an unwavering spirit. She was known for her compassion, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her sense of humor brightened even the darkest days, and her presence brought comfort to those who sought it.

Donna had a deep love and was fiercely protective of her family and friends. She cherished moments spent together and created enduring memories that we will forever hold dear. The Facetime, phone calls, letters, cards, and visits Donna received during the final weeks of her life were a tremendous source of joy, peace, and comfort to her.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and friendship that will continue to inspire and guide us. Donna may no longer be with us in person, but her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Donna was predeceased in death by her parents- Alvie and Dorethea Anderson, brother- Bob Anderson, son- Kevin Arnett, daughter- Kari Gaskin, grandson- Luke Arnett, granddaughter- Lili Arnett.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Blaine Thomas (and her work husband Charles Stewart), son-Blake (Lynn) Arnett, stepson- Bourke (Misty) Thomas, Grandsons- Chase Anderson, Ben Arnett, Jackson Arnett, Joe Arnett, Jace Thomas, Gunter Thomas, and Connor Thomas. Granddaughters- Ashley Anderson, Lindsey (Matt) Towry, Jill Crews, Olivia Arnett. Great Grandchild- Mackenzie Towry. As well as
many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The pain of her absence is profound, but we take solace in the memories and the enduring love Donna shared with us. Let us remember her with a smile and strive to carry forward the kindness and compassion she exemplified.

A celebration of Donna's life will be held on November 9, 2023, at Berryhill Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to your favorite charity in Donna's memory.

Donna will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May she finally find solace and comfort in the arms of our Lord and Savior. Rest in peace my dear friend.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 9th, from 10:00-11:00a.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. Service will follow at 11:00a.m. with David Dye officiating and the burial taking place Cedar Hilll Cemetery in Scottsboro, AL.
