Edgar Lonnie Conner, born on June 24, 1942, in Wheeling, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025, in Madison, Alabama, at the age of 82.

Ed dedicated his life to service, spending 22 years in the U.S. Army before continuing his commitment to his country as a civil servant for 25 years. His hard work and dedication were only rivaled by his deep love for his family.

For 62 wonderful years, Ed was married to the love of his life, Karin Conner. Together, they built a legacy of love and family that he held dear. He was preceded in death by his mother, Suzanna Dunham; his sister, Susanna Boyd; and his son, William Conner (Daphne).

He is survived by his beloved wife, Karin; his daughters, Annette Ikstrums (Andris) and Belinda Baker (James); his cherished grandchildren, Meaghan Morris (Kevin), Rebecca Gates, Tabitha Ruff, Kaylyn Conner, and Brandon Thacker; and his adored great-grandchildren, Ainslee, Lincoln, Harrison, and Jack. Ed found immense joy in his growing family, especially in spending time with his great-grandchildren, whose laughter and energy brought him so much happiness.

A funeral service to honor Ed's life will be held in Montevallo, AL, on Wednesday, April 2nd.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Ed's favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Hospital, in his memory.
