Edgar Darby Mason, 88, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2025.

Mr. Mason is survived by his wife, Chun Mason; daughter, Angelica Eady (Timothy); two other children; half-brother, Brown Douglass; and cousin, Elouise.

He is preceded by his father, Edgar Luther Mason; mother, Mary Catherine Douglass (Wilburn); and half-brother, Tommy Douglass, Jr.

Mr. Darby was known as a brilliant man.  With degrees from the University of Alabama and Vanderbilt University, Edgar had quite the career.   He worked for several years with NASA and Boeing.  He was a teacher at Randolph School, where he taught for several years.  Before retiring in 2002, He worked for the Department of Defense as a high school teacher for American High schools in South Korea and Germany.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Berryhill Funeral Home from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.  A graveside service will be held at 11:30 am at Maple Hill Cemetery with Rev. Tim Cole officiating.
