Edward William Ragland was 68 years of age, born 29 Nov. 1950, to the late William and Sally Ragland of Odenville, AL.  He passed on 30 December 2018.

He gave his life to the Lord at an early age, joining Copper Springs Baptist Church, later ordained as an Elder under Pastor Terrence Haley of the Chelsea C.P. Church finally joining The Rock Family Worship Center under Pastors Rusty and Leisa Nelson.

Edward served his country well with 22 years in the Army and 2 years in the Marine Corp. After retiring from the military in 1996 he drove over the road for a number of years, finally retiring in 2016.

He leaves to mourn his spouse of 34 years, Loretta, daughter Jonnaya (Jeffrey Nganga) Ragland, son Thomas (Brenda) LeShore, son Antonio (Sarah) Ragland, US Army with 8 grandchildren and 4 great grands.  One sister Judy (Albert) Pendleton, 3 brothers Charles (Joycelyn) Ragland, James Ragland and Darrin White and a host of family and friends.

The funeral will be held at the Berryhill Funeral Home with full military honors Sunday, January 6, 2019, at 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Berryhill Funeral Home in memory of Edward William Ragland.
