Elizabeth S. Magie passed away at North Alabama Speciality Hospital (NASH) on August 7, 2025 at the age of 86. She was born on September 26, 1938, to Jude and Perkles Sanders of Bradenton, Florida.
Elizabeth attended Manatee High School then graduated and moved on to college, attending Randolph Macon Women's College. She earned a BA in Biology with a minor in Russian Studies. In 1976, she attended the University of West Florida and earned a BS Degree in Management.
She worked for many years as a Medical Technologist at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. She also worked as a Computer Programmer for the Navy in Pensacola.
In 1988, she moved to Huntsville, Alabama to take a job as an IT Specialist working for the Department of Defense on Redstone Arsenal. While working for the DOD, she worked her way up to Software Project Lead.
Elizabeth was a dedicated member of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church. She was a member of The Daughters of The King. She was also the Chapter President and she was a part of the hand bell choir as well.
She is survived by her daughter, Blair Magie Christian; son-in-law, Richard Cooper Christian; and grandsons, Mitchell and Carter Christian.
She was preceded in death by her son, Geoffry Carter Magie.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to donate may choose their favorite charity in rememberance of Elizabeth S. Magie.
