Eric Chamberlain Felts, 62, a beloved son, brother and uncle passed away suddenly on January 4, 2025.   He was born on December 27, 1962 in Huntsville, Alabama to parents Bonnie Felts and the late Paul Felts. Eric is survived by his mother, Bonnie Felts; sisters, Elizabeth Dyke (Gary) and Ingrid Felts; niece, Courtney Cobb (Charles); and grand nephews, Tyler and Zachary Cobb.

Eric was known to have a love for adrenaline and the outdoors, an adventurous spirit, a quick witted humor and could be quite a prankster at times, particularly to his sisters.

While his career was in graphic design, many would say he discovered his true passion at an early age….skateboarding.   Eric aka "EF 8-Wheeler" a true "skate rat" could always be found at a neighborhood ramp, Get-A-Way Skatepark or various other skateparks throughout the US during his time being sponsored by Gullwing Trucks.   It was later in life he had to make the difficult decision to retire his skateboard due to health reasons and to care for his elderly mother; however, he found a way to pay his passion forward….sharing with other skateboarders.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday night, January 8th, from 5:30-7:30 PM at Berryhill Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Eric's Life will take place the following day, Thursday, January 9th, beginning at 11:00 AM.  The family suggests bringing a funny story to share, as Eric would have wanted laughter more than tears - because as his fellow skateboard buddies would say…Eric is out there "bombing a hill."

The burial will take place at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
