Eric Todd Leslie, 54, of Harvest, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Eric, who was taken home to his Mom, Dad, and Jesus on 8/29/23. Eric was a larger than life soul who had a way to always get a laugh and make everyone feel connected. He leaves behind a legacy of love and lighthearted stories that we all will continue to think upon and smile.

Born on 12/21/68, Eric's enjoyment of sports and creating a story was evident from an early age. He had a profound love for fishing, a hobby that allowed him to stay connected to the memory of his dad and forge the long list of friends that joined him on the water. He enjoyed teaching others his passion and he was once said to have caught a bass in a puddle in the middle of the road!

But perhaps Eric's greatest gift was his ability to bring laughter into the lives of those around him. His infectious sense of humor, both with you and at you, could brighten the darkest of days. Eric had an uncanny knack for finding humor in the simplest of moments, and his laughter was a balm for our souls. He drove a bus here in Madison and most recently worked at the Space and Rocket Center as a driver for Space Camp where his love for his kiddos was evident in the laughs, pictures, and notes they all loved to give to him. He had a way to make all his kids feel as if they were the star of the show!

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Space Camp in Eric's memory, keeping alive his legacy of living life large and bringing laughter to all.

A celebration of Eric's life will be held on 9/09/23 at Huntsville Christian Church at 171 Indian Creek Rd. at 11am. Please join us as we share stories, laughter, and tears in honor of a remarkable man who left an indelible mark on our hearts.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 9th, 2023 at 11:00 AM, at Huntsville Christian Church with Bro. John Lancaster officiating.
