Eugenia Lynne Hadaway, 67, of Huntsville, AL, went home to be with her Lord and Savior after losing a hard nine month battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her husband and daughters when she took her heavenly flight on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.

Genia was a very lovable, friendly person and a great joy to be around. She was a former computer programmer, truck driver, and a retail associate. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and working in the yard growing flowers and rose bushes. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially during the holidays. She traveled to various places across the United State and traveled abroad to Canada, Germany, and Paris, France. She will be greatly missed by those that love her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Silas Haynes; mother, Frances Haynes; sister, Beverly Denson; brother, Veyon Haynes; two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Shawn Hadaway; daughter, Mary (Lisa) Devereux; daughter, Eugenia Sumlin (Lynn); brother, Stanley Haynes; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Berryhill Funeral Home on Saturday, August 30th, from 3:00-4:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 4:00 PM.
