Eva Hickman Morring, 82, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on January 20, 2026.

Eva was born on May 31, 1943, in Blackton, Arkansas, to Merle and Grace Hickman. In 1946, she moved with her family to Owens Cross Roads, Alabama, and later settled in Huntsville. It was there, while working at G.C. Murphy's in 1959, that she met her future husband, Billy Morring. They were married on June 3, 1961, beginning a loving marriage built on faith, devotion, and family.

After their marriage, Eva and Bill made their home in Moontown in Brownsboro, where Eva embraced country life and lived out the remainder of her days. She worked as an accountant for approximately 30 years before retiring in the mid-1990s.

Eva found joy in cooking, gardening, bowling, and traveling. If you ever visited her, you knew you would be fed—hospitality came naturally to her, and her kitchen was a place of love and fellowship. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family deeply. Eva was never afraid to speak her mind, but everything she said and did came from a heart full of love. Her faith guided her life, and she trusted God in all things.

She was preceded in death by her father, Merle Hickman; her mother, Grace Brooks; and her stepfather, James Brooks.

Eva is survived by her loving husband, Bill Morring; her daughter, Sheila Duckett (Kim); her son, Jeff Morring (Dee); her grandchildren, Daniel Dennis (Jennifer), Ashley Jennings (Chris), Chelsea Decker (Jamie), Emily Smith (Blake), Hannah Morring, and Mallory Morring; great grandchildren, Brynnley Dennis, Stella Mae Jennings and Amelia Decker; her sisters, Eloise Gibbs and Shirley Whiley(John) in Oklahoma; her sister-in-law, Ann Sanderson; and many other beloved cousins and close family members.

Eva will be remembered for her strong faith, her loving heart, and her unwavering dedication to her family. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort knowing she is now at peace, reunited with loved ones, and dwelling in the presence of the Lord.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 28th, from 12:00-2:00 PM at Berryhill Funeral Home, with a funeral service immediately following. Burial will take place at Nelson Chapel Cemetery.
