It is with profound sadness that the family of Frank Lee McKenzie, 54, of Harvest, Alabama, announces his sudden passing on February 12, 2026. He was taken from us too soon, but his quick wit, kindness, and sense of humor will live on in all who knew and loved him.

Born March 5, 1971, Frank or Lee, depending on which side of the county you were from, was a devoted family man who treasured Sunday afternoon lunches with family and dinners with friends. Whether gathering around a campfire telling stories and sharing laughter, cheering on Alabama football with friends, or simply enjoying the quiet company of his beloved dog, Mischa, he embraced life with joy and generosity.

For more than 20 years, Frank dedicated himself to shaping young minds as a high school mathematics teacher at Sparkman High School. His passion for his subject was matched only by his commitment to his students — always trying new ways and methods to help math make sense. Friends and family will remember him for his warm smile, his ready laugh, his quick wit and playful banter.

Lee is preceded in death by his father, James McKenzie, mother Jewel Anderson McKenzie Spelce, and brother James McKenzie Jr. He is survived by his sister Tana Lane (Harvey), nephews Bucky (Lauren), Drew (Rachael), and Matt (Tiffany), and his adopted family Sophie Delay, Grady Delay, Hobbs Delay, and Chloe Stults, along with seven grand-nieces and nephews!

Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 on Monday, February 16, at Berryhill Funeral Home.
