Fred Robertson (87) passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on September 17. He is survived by his devoted wife, Sandra; his children, Jeff Robertson and Kelly Robertson-Bogue; his grandchildren, William Bogue, Zachary Robertson, and Zoe Robertson; and his great-grandson, Finley Bogue.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Alma (McClung) Robertson, and his sister Joyce Dupree.

Fred was born in Cherokee County, AL, and raised in Gadsden. A 1956 graduate of Gadsden High School, he joined the U.S. Air Force that same year and served through 1961. After marrying his childhood sweetheart, Sandra, the newlyweds relocated to Huntsville, where they would live out their lives together. Fred was an avid angler who could usually be found on the rivers and lakes of Alabama (unless the Crimson Tide was on TV!)

The family wishes to thank Lisa, Katie, Stephen, Emily, Mattie, Morgan, and especially Hannah, along with everyone at Compassus Hospice Care, for their truly compassionate and gentle care for all of us during Fred's last days.
