IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Fredda June
Wolfe
June 16, 1936 – October 15, 2025
Fredda June Wolfe passed away peacefully after a short illness on Wednesday morning, Oct. 15, 2025, in Huntsville, Alabama.
Born Fredda June Martin on June 16, 1936, in Collinwood, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Fred Earl Martin and Ida Alma Roberson Martin. A gifted student, Fredda graduated a year early from Sheffield High School as salutatorian.
Fredda married William E. Clark and began a family, raising two sons, Steven Earl Clark and Kevin Gene Clark. A devoted mother and woman of faith, she was deeply involved at the First Baptist Church in Sheffield, AL — singing in the choir, teaching Sunday School, and performing in a beloved ladies' trio with close friends Bobbi Austin and Ann McCutcheon.
Fredda worked for Southern Railway, Ford Motor Co., and later Chrysler Corp. in Huntsville. Alongside her career, she pursued her artistic passion for stained glass and was known for her delicious holiday meals and beautifully kept homes.
In 1990, Fredda married James T. Wolfe Jr. and continued to make Huntsville her home. Even after retiring, she remained active in the community by preparing tax returns for local seniors each year.
Fredda loved her Whitesburg Baptist Church family and enjoyed traveling on church trips to Hawaii, New Mexico, Colorado, Tennessee, and beyond. She also delighted in visiting her son Kevin in Germany, Denmark, Utah, California, and Montreal, Canada.
Fredda's faith was the cornerstone of her life. In her final days, she spoke peacefully of being ready to enter heaven and reunite with God and loved ones who had gone before.
Survivors include her sons, Steven E. Clark (Linda) of Sheffield, Alabama, and Kevin G. Clark of Montreal, Canada; grandsons Justin Earl Clark of Huntsville, and Dillon Jeffrey Clark, William Richard Clark, great-grandsons Myles Clark and Ezra Clark, all of Sheffield; sister, Peggy Suggs of Huntsville;and step-children: Debbie Chandler, Rickie, Rady, and Rob Wolfe. .
A funeral will be held Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, at Whitesburg Baptist Church South Campus Chapel (ROC) with viewing at 2 PM and service at 3 PM, officiated by Pastor Philip Slusher with music by Rick Stone. A reception will follow the service.
Interment will take place Monday, Oct. 20, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens in Florence, Alabama, with a brief graveside service.
