Garland Briggs Ryan, 84, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.

Garland is survived by his wife, Judy Ryan; son, Derek Ryan; daughter, Allyson Redinger; six grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.  

He is preceded by his parents, Elmer and Evelyn Ryan; siblings, Patricia Leah Helton and Stanley Joseph Ryan.  

Garland was a 1961 graduate of Butler High School.  After high school, he continued his education and graduated from Florence State.  He was an avid sports fan and a huge supporter of Auburn University.  Most of all, he loved his lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  

No services are planned at this time.
