George Andrew Burt, 55 years old, of Madison, AL passed away January 6, 2022. George is remembered as a loving husband, father and good friend to so many. He was born January 26, 1966 in Fort Payne, Alabama to Kelley and Marilyn Burt.

George had a huge heart with an infectious smile. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to George. He was happiest when he had all his family around laughing and cutting up. He was an amazing chef that loved cooking for family and friends. George achieved the high honor of Master Bartender in the 90's, as he was one of only 30 in the country.  He loved grilling, gardening, fishing and spending time outdoors. He had a love for traveling, music, and good conversation. He never met a stranger and was known for his keen wit. He would give you the shirt off his back and helped countless people in need through his life. He was known for his fierce loyalty and always took up for the underdog. He was deeply loved and will be forever missed.

George is survived by his wife, Pam Burt of Madison, AL; two children, Andrew Burt and Rena Burt; two stepchildren, Alex Smith and Kelsey Smith; his brother, Dan Burt (Donna) of Millbrook, AL; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kelley and Marilyn Burt.

At his request, his body will be cremated at Berryhill Funeral Home. There will not be a service for him per his wishes and due to rising numbers in COVID cases. Thank you for loving George Andrew Burt.
