George H. Etter, Jr., 84, of Elkmont, Alabama, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025.

Mr. Etter is survived by his wife, Iva Etter; children, Steve Etter, Joseph Etter (Emily), Johnathan Etter, Thomas Buchanan (Amber), Johnny Buchanan (Tammy), and Adam Buchanan (Jenny); grandchildren, Riley Mae Etter, Bentley Etter, Bratin Buchanan, Isabella Buchanan, Anzleigh Buchanan, Bayleigh Mundello, Destiny Sparks, Lindsey Bannon, Adam Buchanan, Jr., Brandon Buchanan, and Joshua Buchanan; great-grandchildren, Landon, Levi, Layton, Adam, Khloe, Lola, Logan, Hayden, Lilly, Dylan, Averly, and Katlyn; siblings, Linda Perez (John) and Brad Etter.

He is preceded by his parents.

George was a US Army veteran, where he proudly served his country for many years before retiring.  After his military service, he worked at Redstone Arsenal before retiring.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Berryhill Funeral Home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
