George Daniel Merrill, 75, of Huntsville, passed away peacefully on July 26,2026, surrounded by family. 

George is survived by his partner, Debbie Wilson; daughter Nicole Lucas; son Forrest Merrill; granddaughter Evelyn Lucas; grandsons Gunner Whitt, Cadogan Lucas, Bentley Merrill; and a host of loving friends. 

George was preceded in death by his parents, Evva and Ben Merrill.

George was known for his easy- demeanor and sense of humor. Whether repairing something around the house, building, fixing, or improving, he approached every task with patience and determination. Family and friends often relied on him, knowing that if something was broken, George could find a way to fix it. 

George enjoyed riding motorcycles, spending time at the lake, and sharing his knowledge of life lessons. 

George will be remembered for his faithful heart, loyalty, selflessness, and kind spirit. His life touched many, and his memory will continue to be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life will be held with family at a later date.
