George Wayne Reynolds passed away early Tuesday morning, July 21, 2026 at the age of 85. He was born to parents Howard and Thelma Reynolds in Ladelle, AR. George was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired faculty member of Auburn University who loved teaching others the art of Aikido, balance, and sittercise, and was also an avid dancer.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Rachel Marjean Reynolds; sisters, Mary Elizabeth Wilder and Joye Reynolds Snelson; brothers, Herbert R. Reynolds and Arthur R. Reynolds, and his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his son, David Reynolds, daughter-in-law Carol, and granddaughter Sarah Grace, who he loved dearly.

A Celebration of Life visitation will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Grace United Methodist Church in Huntsville, AL

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association Alabama Chapter (North Alabama).
