Obituary

George Byron Williams left this life for heaven August 10, 2019 from the Hospice Family Care in Huntsville, AL.  Born in Dallas, TX, November 20, 1941 to the late James Ray and Willie (Chapman) Williams, George attended Thomas Jefferson High School and Southern Methodist University in Dallas.

George was as an engineer working in support of the Navy in Dahlgren, VA; Crystal City, VA; Washington, DC; and Cape Canaveral, FL.  After 35 years of service, George retired and moved to the Huntsville, AL area and worked supporting the Army at Redstone Arsenal.  He took his final retirement in 2014.

George is survived by his wife, Barbara (Bobbi Carrk); two sons, GySgt Byron G. Williams (Ret) (Brittany) and Todd D. Williams (Susie) both of VA; and their mother, Kathryn Pitts (FL).; brother, William (Marsue) Williams (TX), sister, Kathlan Flournoy (FL); eleven grandchildren, Anne Marie Weedon (WV), Christopher Williams , Brittany Williams, Tyler Williams, Amber Breedon , Chloey Williams, A1C Tanner Williams, Rachael Gorman, Lily Salazar,  Nina Salazar and Saorise Williams; six great-grandchildren all of Virginia; and many nieces and nephews

George was a dedicated member of Park West Lions (Manassas, VA), a staunch conservative Republican supporter, worker,  FaceBook contributor, and a patriot.

Memorials are planned for August 18th, 2 - 5 pm at the Park West Lions Community Center; 8620 Sunnygate Dr.; Manassas, VA and August 23rd, 4 - 7pm, at his home, 16643 Treemont Dr., Athens AL.  All are welcomed to one or both celebrations of George's life.

Interment will be November 20, 2019 in Restland Cemetery, Dallas, TX, where a graveside service will be said.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Park West Lion's Hearing Foundation; 103 Country Club Dr SW; Leesburg, VA 20175 or to a favorite conservative 2020 candidate would be appreciated.  Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
