Gigi Carol Gerhold, 48, of Athens, passed away Friday, July 15, 2022.

Gigi was a loving wife, mom, and grandmother. She loved to go shopping, knit, doing any kind of crafts and mostly recently traveling with her husband. She loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter. Her favorite thing was being a Mongi.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles David Bishop and Carolyn Ann Bishop.

She leaves behind her husband, Ronnie Lee Gerhold; two daughters, Veronika Leighann Costlow (Matthew) and Jacquelin Michelle Rheinhardt (Cole); granddaughter, Annzleigh Michelle Costlow; brother, Buck Bishop (Patrice); nieces, Shelley Bishop, Ashleigh Rowe, Haleigh Rowe, and nephew Wilson Bishop. Also, her precious dog, Daisey Mae Gerhold. She also leaves behind three aunts and one uncle.

Gigi was very passionate about the NICU at Crestwood Hospital as that is where her precious granddaughter spent her first 28 days. The family is requesting donations be made to Crestwood NICU in honor of her love for her granddaughter.

A celebration of life will be held at Monrovia Church of Christ on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. with her dear friend and brother in Christ Bryan Bates officiating the celebration.
