Glenda worked at Intergraph Corporation for 10 years until their downsizing in 1995. She and Joe decided to pursue her dream of owning her own business. In 1995, together with Randy Curry, they started Winchester Road Self Storage. Glenda started with 31 storage units, and the business continually grew to over 500 units until they sold it in 2019. Glenda also operated a craft store at the same location until her mother needed additional assistance, so Glenda’s full-time job for the next three years was taking care of her mother until her death. Glenda was a great painter. She painted numerous houses, commercial spaces, and condos that she and Joe were renovating and selling. This continued until 2020 when they retired Glenda loved the beach especially in Destin, Florida. she spent considerable time in Destin and Gulf Shores, Alabama. She and Joe went on 18 cruises to beaches and remote islands across the Caribbean, Alaska, and Hawaii. She was ready to go on a cruise at any opportunity. She was an avid gardener, growing vegetables and flowers. She donated most of the vegetables to the members of Cornerstone church and the Downtown Rescue Mission.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Emily Johnson Robinson and Richard L. Robinson, and her sister Vivian Robinson Mason.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Joe Lee Davis of Hazel Green, her brother Gary Robinson of Gurley, Al and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Reverend Opal Crews for her caring and support for Glenda over the past 20 years and her caregivers Sonya Payne and Tammie Elliott for their love and affection for the last six months of Glenda’s life. They provided excellent care for someone who desperately needed their special touch.

The family would also like to thank Hospice Family Care of Huntsville. Glenda’s nurse, Gina Jones, and all the support staff at Hospice Family Care of Huntsville were exceptional, caring, professional, and dedicated. We could not have asked for better care.
