Heinrich Hahn, 94, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of September 14, 2026, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born on December 31, 1931, in Darmstadt, Germany.

Heinrich graduated from the Darmstadt Polytechnic Institute of Engineering and worked for Siemens in Germany before coming to Huntsville in 1958 as part of Operation Paperclip. He later worked for NASA and then for Sperry Space Support Services, which became part of Unisys. He retired in 1993.

Outside of his work, Heinrich enjoyed collecting and dealing in stamps. He was a founding member of the Huntsville Philatelic Club in 1961.

Heinrich was proud to become an American citizen and grateful for the home he found in the United States. He lived by a simple principle: “Do not do to others what you would not want done to yourself.”

Heinrich is survived by his nephew. He will be remembered for his long career, his love of stamp collecting, and the many memories he leaves with those who knew him. Visitation arrangements will be announced.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Berryhill Funeral Home from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.  A graveside service will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery at 12:30.
