Helen Kissel peacefully passed away on May 15, 2026, at the age of 93 in the hands and surrounded by the love of her family.

Helen lived a life defined by strength, sacrifice, and unwavering love. She came from a generation that understood hard work firsthand and spent her life caring for those around her. She was a devoted mother, loving grandmother, supportive sister, loyal friend, and a steady source of comfort to everyone who knew her. Her quiet love made others feel safe, supported, and deeply cared for. Her hands reflected a lifetime of serving others, and her heart never stopped giving. While our hearts grieve her loss, we find peace knowing she is now free from pain and suffering and finally at rest. Helen leaves behind a remarkable legacy that lives on through the generations she helped shape with her strength, wisdom, and love. 

She was preceded in death by her brilliant and loving husband; her parents; and her brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her brother, Billie Carden; her children, Kim Adcock, Todd Brooks, and Rodney Brooks; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

An intimate, graveside service to honor Helen’s life will be held Monday, May 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Maple Hill Cemetery.  Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
